Old Arena Site

Did You Know . . . Town Council is inviting residents to an open house to discuss options for the former arena site (Jubilee Park), Oct. 25 at the Multiplex.

Public input invited for Jubilee Park (former arena site)

Town Council is inviting town residents to attend an open house public meeting to discuss some possible options for the former ice arena and curling rink site, known as Jubilee Park, located across from Edwin Parr Composite High School in Athabasca.

The open house is scheduled for October 25 at the Athabasca Regional Multiplex lounge: mark your calendar and plan to attend.

The former arena and adjacent curling rink were decommissioned after the Multiplex opened its doors to the community in 2008. The old buildings were demolished in February 2009 and the land has remained vacant since that time.

Council would like to know what residents have to say about the future of the site. Interested parties are encouraged to attend the open house and participate in the discussion.
