Credit Card Payments

Did You Know... The Town accepts credit card payments for all billing, with the exception of property taxes. You can now pay permit fees, utility bills and other receivables via electronic funds transfer.

Credit Card payments now an option

The Town of Athabasca recently introduced an alternative payment method for permits, utility bills and other receivables, not including property taxes. Credit card payments are now a convenient option when making payments at the Town Office.

Electronic funds transfer has become a widely accepted and popular method of bill payment and Town Council and Administration agreed that it was time to make this option available to the public. A motion was passed by Council in August to give the credit card payment system a trial run for a one year term.

One additional benefit to credit card payments is that individuals can collect reward points when using their cards to make payments at the Town Office, providing they have an existing rewards plan with their credit card provider. The Town of Athabasca does not have a rewards plan.
